About this vintage design furniture
Pair of oval wall lights in white opaline glass and Holophane frosted glass. In 1893, André Blondel invented prismatic glass moulding (based on the Fresnel lens principle). The invention is patented under the name "Holophane" whose Greek roots mean "harmonious distribution of light". source: http:www.holophane.frsocietehistoire B22 sockets (sometimes brass, sometimes PVC depending on the model). Painting and stains in particular on the fixing patinas which are not visible once in place this being said. Not all diffuser mounting screws are the same.
