About this vintage design furniture
Minerva coffee table in solid teak with rattan shelf, supported by brass brackets. Overall in very good condition. A bracket is repaired with a screw, as shown in the picture. Designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen in 1956. Model 'FD 516' produced by France and Son in Denmark.

Peter HVIDT & Orla MOLGAARD NIELSEN
Hvidt & Mølgaard Nielsen is a mid-20th-century Danish design duo consisting of Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen. Peter Hvidt was born in Copenhagen in 1916 and studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts before working as a designer for various companies. Orla Mølgaard Nielsen was born in Copenhagen in 1907 and also studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, before working as an architect and designer.
