A large oil painting on canvas depicting a dreamy colored lake with an exotic bird titled "Kingfisher Kotillion" and dated 1980. The painting splits in two, on the left the background of the lake and on the right where the bird is sitting and the landscape turns into a more flowery composition. This painting is the epitome of 1980's American interiors, with its pastel shades and bright colors. A true work of art from the 1980s FloridaPalm Beach and Miami. Framed in a thin wood panel. Provenance Shilton International. Richard Frank was born in Great Britain and moved to the United States at the age of thirteen. He studied architecture at the University of Florida and painting and drawing at the Tyler School of Art and John F. Kennedy University, where he received his MFA and BFA degrees. Over the years, Frank has held positions as a museum curator, university professor, gallery director, and public television art host. He has exhibited extensively in the United States and Europe and has received numerous awards and two Florida State Artist Fellowships.
