About this vintage design furniture
An impressive pair of blown iridescent glass Sona lamps designed by Carlo Nason for Lumenform, Italy, 1973. The large mouth blown iridescent glass globes have a diameter of 38 cm and can be adjusted by the chromed beam, turning the lamp up- or downwards. The lamp could also be used as a floor lamp, connecting floor and ceiling in a marvellous translucent way. The total diameter of the lamp is 48 cm. Both lamps come with the original ceiling caps. The large iridescent glass globes can be attached to the ceiling by a thin metal wire which makes them look like floating soap bubbles in the room. An iconic design from almost 45 years ago but still fabulously modern. Literature: Casa Amica 6 novembre 1973, p. 68.
