About this vintage design furniture
A great example of retro furniture at its best, this lovely rosewood sideboard would make a great addition to your home. The room has a spacious double wardrobe with a full width central shelf. To the left of the sideboard is a row of three drawers, one of which has a cutlery compartment with original black felt lining. The cabinet bears the McIntosh label with the thistle and crown of Scotland, a long-standing symbol of Scotland where Mcintosh furniture was designed and manufactured. Tom Roberson was the firm's chief designer between 1948 and 1983, when he completed his most remarkable project, the Torpedo buffet. This is a genuine retro piece of furniture that is no longer in production.
