Vintage sideboard by Bohumil Landsman and Hubert Nepozitek for Jitona, Czechoslovakia 1960
About this vintage design furniture
This mid-century sideboard was designed by Czech furniture designers Bohumil Landsman and Hubert Nepozitek. It was manufactured in the 1960s in Czechoslovakia by Jitona, a company that specialized in high-quality furniture made primarily for export outside of Czechoslovakia. This piece is made of solid ash and the charm of this sideboard lies in the elegant proportions and subtle details.Chests of drawers that could hold comforters and pillows were a very popular and useful type of furniture, so you can find many different models. Even though dressers are not used as much for this purpose these days, this particular piece is still a very attractive useful piece. This piece is in its great original condition with only minor natural wear on the fabric and wood parts. The fabric has been recently professionally cleaned and the wood surface has been polished.
