Lamp Gras-Ravel n 205 Pierre Albin-Gras France 1930 Dimensions: H50 x W16 x D16 Articulated lamp circa 1930. Under foot, engraving 1031. The model 205, known as "portable" was intended for industry and design offices. Articulated by staples, sgdg patent stamp. Works perfectly. Ht max 700mm. Good condition The model 205, known as "portable" was intended for industry and design offices. It was very quickly adopted by architects and artists such as Le Corbusier, Mallet-Stevens, Eileen Gray, Sonia Delaunay, Braque... On the pyramidal cast iron base, a braked ebonite ball joint allows positioning at will. The two arms are articulated by clips. Published from 1927, this lamp is stamped "La Lampe Ravel-Clamart" on the central rod, the base is numbered 1031. It is in its original black livery, brass socket with boxwood grommet, electricity checked.

1886 - 1943Bernard-Albin Gras was a French designer born in 1886 and died in 1943. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Saint-Etienne, France, where he graduated in drawing and painting. Early in his career, he worked as an engineer and industrial designer for several companies.
