About this vintage design furniture
Well crafted, vintage and architectural desk designed by Norwegian designer duo Clausen & Maurus, and imported in the 60s by Dutch retailer ‘Eden’. The desk is executed in ‘quilted’ mahogany, which refers the unique (and organic) irregularities in the wooden top layer that are causing the ‘flickering and flames’ of the top. The grain of the wood really comes to life. This 1960s vintage, yet in really great condition, desk can stand alone and has three (roll top file) storages spaces and three – almost hidden – drawers in the front. All closing with one key, which is present. Brass hardware. The most right drawer has a smaller pen tray or ‘cubbies’ inside. On both sides of the desk, there is a brass hole in which a desk lamp can be placed, as shown on photo.
