About this vintage design furniture
Scandinavian storage cabinet edited by Kempkes (19061971 netherland) in wood with a teak veneer finish from the 1960s. The piece is part of the " formula " line ( see photo). The room has a 1 door front with a shelf, which has a good storage capacity; shelf size 58X40 with 1 beautiful handle typical of the period. The piece is in very good general and vintage condition, with some traces and marks of use on the top (see photo, next to the 1 cent coin for perspective) and the side and bottom panels, very small lack of veneer on the back left of the top (see photo), and superb patina of the time. It has been delicately cleaned to preserve its original aspect as much as possible. There are 2 brass screws on each side of the panels because the piece could be attached to other modules (1 other one already published on the site and another one to come soon on the site). A screw on the left rear was missing and a cap was missing instead. The piece is not only Scandinavian in style or shape, it was made in Finland, one can not really more Scandinavian Publisher label present (see photo). Very practical room, with minimal space, perfect for a bedroom, entrance, living room or other.
