About this vintage design furniture

The Congo is a fine example of 1950s playful design. This chair was designed by Theo Ruth in 1952 for Artifort. Ruth was inspired by African chairs. This chair is made up of two parts that maintain a perfect balance. The seat is very comfortable thanks to the sturdy suspension that Artifort incorporated into the chairs at the time. This chair has black lacquered, organically shaped legs and is professionally upholstered with luxurious bouclé fabric (a rich blend of wool and cotton). A real eye-catcher
