About this vintage design furniture
Tripolina folding armchair, designed by the British engineer Joseph Beverley Fenby, and patented in the United States in 1881. It was produced by several Italian companies, the most famous of which is Paolo Viganò from Tripoli, Libya, when this was an Italian colony. Hence the name of Tripolina. It was used as a field chair, as the structure is foldable and light. This is the small version. The beech wood structure is old, while the leather seat has been redone, following the original shape. The wooden structure is in good vintage condition, with patina on the brass joints, the leather is new.
