About this vintage design furniture
A 1970s Mid-century Danish UFO style pendant light ’Optima’ designed by architect Hans Due for Fog & Mørup. Launched in 1972 the ‘Optima’ series has a definite ‘Space Age’ feel with its sleek futuristic design, looking almost impossibly thin from a side profile. This is the full size version with a diameter of 50 cm. The Optima is a sturdy pendant light in thick powder coated metal. This is a brown version with a red inner disc creating a warm red glow when seen from below. Good condition with a few scratches consistent with time. Rewired with a new white textile cable. Standard E27 light bulb socket.
