Vintage chair model S22 Galvanitas by Paghloz, West Germany 1960

Co-published by Galvanitas & Pagholz (West-Germany) and designed under the aegis of Elmar Flötotto, the s22 model is composed of a one-piece seat shell made of Pagwood (thermoformed and molded high density compressed wood). Its excellent orthopaedic support of the pelvis and back, and its textured, non-slip grain provide incomparable comfort. Mounted on a grey-beige powder-coated metal compass base, it is stackable, and the left foot fits over the right, so that they can be assembled into benches by juxtaposing them endlessly. The flamboyance of the wood combined with the rectilinear rigour of the painted steel give the S22 a timeless look that will fit in any interior. Seat height: 46cm
