Vintage tavolo quadrato table by Silvio Coppola for Fratelli Montina 1970s

This square dining table has a striking lined wooden leg which consists of four beautifully lined wooden elements, supported by a rounded wooden bar, all four of which fit together using a metal click system which was cutting edge for its time. The four elements fit invisibly into each other, carrying the square, beautifully lined table top. Highly detailed design by Silvio Coppola who began his career making innovative designs for the body of fiberglass vehicles. Later, he started designing wooden furniture. But in his straight-lined furniture design, there is a recognizable technical touch even in wooden furniture. Table in good condition, compatible with age and use.
