Set of 4 vintage chairs reupholstered in fabric by Oswald Haerdtl for Mr. Josef Hoffmann, Austria 1950
About this vintage design furniture
This set of four vintage dining chairs was designed by Oswald Haerdtl in the 1950s, a famous Austrian designer - together with Mr. Josef Hoffmann, he designed the cafe terrace of the 1930 Vienna Werkbund exhibition, where they designed every little detail, from the interiors to the cutlery. The chairs are very light in form and comfortable in use. The chairs have been completely restored and finished with natural oil that protects the wood and gives it a warm natural finish. This set has been reupholstered in a high quality fabric from Sahco, a beautiful mustard yellow bouclé fabric that is very similar to the original upholstery fabrics of the 1950s. Other pieces are available by individual order. Wide range of upholstery fabrics from Kvadrat and Sahco available.
