About this vintage design furniture
A rare pair of modernist lounge chairs, designed by Günter Renkel in 1959. The seats are in plywood with teak veneer and are fixed onto a metal sledge frame, lacquered in dark grey. The condition of the chairs is 100 original, and still very good. There are some traces of wear, as shown in the pictures. Manufactured by Rego in Germany.

About the designer
Gunter RENKEL
Gunter Renkel was a German designer who was born in Frankfurt in 1938 and died in Munich in 2015. He studied at the Frankfurt School of Fine Arts from 1960 to 1965, where he took courses in industrial design and graphic design.
