About this vintage design furniture
Very rare hand-blown Murano glass one-light pendant lamp, design Ettore Fantasia and Gino Poli for Sothis Murano, Italy, 70s. There is no trademark on the lamp but the attribution is recognized and validated currently within design history. The glass shade is clear with a fine "Pulegoso" processing, that add a precious texture and a milky white "Lattimo" band placed along its entire circumference. The shade has been shaped to accommodate the lamp holder in a recess of the sphere at its base and fixed to the internal metal structure, as visible in the photo. The lamp is hung from the ceiling with a steel cable. The lamp is in good condition, the glass is intact, the chrome frame has slight traces of oxidation compatible with age and use. The wiring and the standard E27 lampholder are original. Weight: 4.2 kg
