Mid century side chair by Friso Kramer for Auping, Netherlands 1950s

A beautiful side chair designed by Friso Kramer and manufactured by Auping in the Netherlands around 1950. Made of high quality plywood in a lovely warm brown colour. The seat is made from a single piece, nicely curved into shape with beautiful rounded details. It has a metal base which gives it a real modern touch, a highly recognizable piece of mid-century Dutch design It can be used as a decorative side chair, but also for the dining room or even office space. The chair remains in good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful vintage patina.
