About this vintage design furniture
This is a unique Pragotron PK-27 wall clock with a distinctive brown outer frame that was produced in small quantities. It is an original industrial wall clock from the 1960s in Czechoslovakia. The Pragotron company (with its triangular logo of four small clocks) was the original designer of clocks and information displays produced in the former Czechoslovakia. Their clocks were widely used in busy public places such as train stations, stadiums, schools or office buildings.Since its establishment in 1953, Pragotron has produced many clocks of different shapes, sizes and colors. Because of their quality and combination of exceptional product and graphic design, most of these pieces are still in high demand and are now considered icons. This particular piece was primarily used in offices and classrooms. It is a PV27 model in a very rare chocolate brown frame. The frame is made of plastic and the clock face is covered with glass. This clock has recently been converted from a direct electrical connection to a battery powered clock movement. It works as a stand-alone wall clock with a single AA battery. Overall, the clock is in excellent condition and comes with its original box. There is no damage to the glass or plastic frame.
