About this vintage design furniture
Karl Lagerfeld needed to decorate a new boutique he wanted to open in Paris in 1992 and asked Borek Sipek to design matching chairs. Not just lounge chairs but something in between table seating and lounge. This set of two ‘karl lagerfeld’ chairs have been designed in 1992 for the boutique at 17Rue St. Honoré, Paris, France. Rare chairs and in very good condition, marked and signed by the master himself, Borek Sipek.

About the designer
Borek SIPEK
Borek Sipek (1949-2016) was an internationally renowned Czech designer, known for his furniture, glassware, lighting and decorative objects. He studied architecture in Prague before working with the famous Italian designer Ettore Sottsass in Milan in the 1980s.
