Vintage stoneware table lamp with large shade by Accolay, circa 1960-1970

Vintage mid-century stoneware table lamp with large high shade, by Accolay, France, circa 1960s-70s. Comes with its original tubular, tall, resin shade wrapped with rope and string, in orange, brown and gold, then covered with resin. When lit, it emits a warm, subtle golden hue (see photos and video.) The base is stoneware with a similar design and color palette to a smaller Accolay table lamp that we also have available on the site (see photo of the two side by side), except that this one is larger and more "cocoa" brown in color, with subtle shades of orange in the circular grooves that run around the body and up to the neck, where it meets the stand and socket (see photos.) The piece is signed. The "Accolay" signature is on a piece of felt under the base, put in place to protect any surface the lamp is placed on (see photo.) The lamp is in fantastic, original, vintage condition as it has been well cared for over time. No cracks or chips. Very slight age and use marks commensurate with time, and a nice patina of age on the base, shade and supports (see photos.) It has only been lightly dusted and cleaned from the original patina. It comes with its original plug, cord and on/off switch (see photo.) It has been tested and works perfectly (see photos.) Works with a screw-in bulb (preferably flame type) type E27 (not included.) European plug up to 250V. Whether placed in the living room on a side table, on a shelf to provide comfortable light in a den, office or library, on a nightstand or in an entryway, this cool lamp is the perfect accent piece for any mid-century, rustic contemporary or retro-bohemian environment.
