About this vintage design furniture
This Danish teak desk was produced during the 1960s. Uniform shape, modernist form and symmetry make it a worthy representative of the Mid-Century Modern era. The sides of the furniture was made of monolithic, single cut piece of material. The desk has three drawers and one opening cabinet with two shelves. The artistic paintings are applied to the front, in line with the geometric idea of modernist design. The turquoise pastel color, combined with off-white and black lines, effectively broke the sterility of the natural color of the wood. The sideboards has been partially restored keeping it’s natural patina. This is a piece of furniture finished according to the rules of the Upcycled Vintage course. Its form is original and dates from the 20th century, but the final finish has been changed by artistic invention or composition of parts from different original object. All treatment are performed by traditional methods, are consistent with the aesthetic of the age from which the furniture comes from and support the Zero Waste idea. This desk has minor marks according to its age.
