About this vintage design furniture

Cor de Ree was born in Maastricht, the Netherlands, but moved to Roermond at an early age. His father was a source of inspiration for the son Cor, who at a young age already imagined that he would later work on huge paintings. The path to the art academy (in Maastricht) was obvious. However, he did not end up painting, but was much more attracted to the realization of engravings and graphic works.Around 1988, a turning point occurred in Cor's life. He chose art Cor de Ree can lose himself completely in the manufacture of furniture made of copper, zinc and glass. You can recognize Cor de Ree's elongated furniture from afar. Thrones, tables, benches, chandeliers, towers, etc. One object has a touch of Art Nouveau, Charles Rennie Mackingtosh or Neo-Gothic, the other something Moorish, Oriental. But they always have two things in common: it is always a unique piece and it is always immediately recognizable as the work of Cor de Ree.This bench is designed as a piece of art in the garden, which you can also sit on. But it also fits very well in a quality interior design.
