Vintage side chair by Wim Rietveld for Gispen, Netherlands 1950s

A wonderful dining side chair, model 116, designed by Wim Rietveld and manufactured by Gispen in the Netherlands around 1950. This lovely piece features a grey metal base with a red plywooden seat and back. It has a minimalist, modern style that is typical for Dutch design and gives it a really nice style. The rounded seat and back are a nice touch and the curved shape provide extra seating comfort as well. It will seamlessly fit in many kind of decors The chair remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
