About this vintage design furniture
A lovely sewing box designed by Coen de Vries, made by Everest in the Netherlands circa 1950.This mid-century piece has a square white metal base and holds a rectangular wenge wood sewing box. When opened, it reveals numerous storage compartments for many small items and sewing supplies. Underneath, there is a wooden shelf for additional items. A beautiful modern design find It remains in good, vintage condition, with wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.

Coen de Vries was a Dutch industrial designer, born in 1918 and died in 2004. He studied at the Amsterdam School of Arts and Crafts and worked for various design companies, including Gispen, Spectrum and Pilastro.
