About this vintage design furniture
Teak sideboard designed by John Herbert for the prestigious English furniture firm Younger Ltd. The model competes on a par with and even surpasses many of its contemporaries from the best English and Danish firms of the mid-20th century. Designed in the 1960s, it is constructed entirely symmetrically with two cupboards at the sides and four large drawer units in the centre. The top drawer has a cutlery divider and its two storage spaces are divided by a shelf. The turning of its legs, the integration of its robust handles and the edging that frames the whole piece of furniture, make it a Mid Century sideboard of the highest quality and exquisite workmanship. If you love it, go ahead, you will never get tired of it and it will never lose its value. It is in very good condition. The wood has been restored and finished with colourless varnish and teak oil to guarantee its durability and impermeability. It has slight marks and imperceptible scars in keeping with its age.
