Vintage Infra table lamp by the Chirana Factory, Czechoslovakia 1984
About this vintage design furniture
An Infra Table Lamp designed in the Post-Modern High Tech style. This piece was produced in Czechoslovakia in 1984 by the Chirana Factory . The main part of the lamp is adjustable and can be moved up or down. It is attached from both sides by a steel rod which then forms a circular shaped steel base. The onoff switch is in a separate plastic box located directly on the electric lead. The design of the piece somehow recalls the utopian projects from the 1980’s by architects such as Future System or Archigram. It would be very much at home in one of these interiors. This piece can be use as an infra lamp for warming up or self-tanning but can changed into a normal tamp lamp by simply replacing the infra bulb for a standard one. The lamp is in perfect original condition and comes with an (slightly damaged) original box. There are no cracks, chips, scratches or any other damage on the steel or glass. The cable shows some minimal natural wear according to its age. All parts, including the bulb are original and fully functional.
