Vintage teak bookcase by G Plan, England 1960

Description:This charming bookcase was designed and manufactured by the British cabinetmaker Gplan in the mid-twentieth century. Gplan furniture has been renowned for many years for its solid construction and excellent design.G Plan - E. Gomme Ltd was based in High Wycombe, England, a major center of British furniture manufacture. The company was revered for its range of high quality sideboards, tables and other cabinetry and for pioneering custom designed and built furniture sets.This bookcase, originally part of a larger set, has been repurposed. The bookcase features a double closet and four shelves. We mounted the cabinet on metal hairpin legs for the perfect combination of contemporary and mid-century modern styles. The piece has a beautiful teak grain, warm tones and rich colors.
