About this vintage design furniture
Mid-century modern free-standing writing desk model 66 in Rosewood designed by Erik Risager Hansen for Haslev Møbelsnedkeri. Wide beveled apron and round tapered legs in solid Rosewood. This desk also has the added benefit of a raised edge on 3 sides preventing things from being pushed over the edge by mistake. The signature design detail on all furniture from Haslev is the tri-angular joins on all 4 corners between the legs and desk edge. Very deep drawers with integrated pulls, and top drawers have sliding lids for use as extra workspace. The drawers share their handles giving the impression there are only 2 drawers on each side of the kneehole. This desk is of the highest possible quality craftsmanship and materials with a sculptural appearance. The desk has been completely restored, however, it might still show light wear consistent with age and use.
