About this vintage design furniture
Sophisticated and very rare wall unit by Vittorio Dassi for Mobili Cantù - Italy, circa 1950-60.The interior of the cabinets and drawers are luxuriously covered with birch veneer and red felt. The interior shelves are in birch and some in glass. The large cabinet has a pull-out bar and three bottle shelves. The image is a handmade engraving or drawing of Poseidon, holding his famous trident, in the background you see a Genoese or Venetian ship. The cabinets, pillars and shelves are made of beautiful Italian walnut (partly solid and partly veneered) with brass details. The pillars have brass feet that are adjustable in height for leveling. This is a freestanding modular system, which means that the shelves and cabinets can be placed differently and it can also be used as a room divider. This is a rare, sophisticated and elegant piece that remains in very good condition with minor signs of age and use.Designer: Vittorio DassiManufacturer: Mobili CantùCountry: ItalyModel: Modular Wall UnitDesign Period: 1950-60Manufacturing Date: 1950-60'sDimensions in cm: 268x41x223 centimetersMaterial: Italian Walnut Lacquered Wood BrassCondition: Very good Minor signs of age and use
