About this vintage design furniture
A scissor lounge chair, widely attributed to designers Paul Tuttle and Antonio Citterio for Flexform Italy. The frame consists of one piece of solid chromed steel. The leather patch is fixed to the frame on 6 points by chrome cylinder shaped capsules. The leather patches consist of double layer leather, with beautiful stitching below and on top. The design has similarities with modern Danish design from Jørgen Kastholm and Poul Kjaerholm however with its own twist. Certainly a design that will become more appreciated over time. One chair is in perfect condition, one chair has some patina on the leather (on the usual spots for these chairs, near the cylinders, fully stable though).
