This original vintage Bauhaus style umbrella stand was produced in the 1960s in Austria. It is made of solid metal with wooden applications at the top on both side, probably teak wood, the wooden base element is made of solid oak wood. The hole pattern structure of the umbrella stand element is reminiscent with design of Austrian designer Josef Hoffmann. Straightforward and minimalistic design of the Bauhaus design era. The dipping base element inside the umbrella stand looks like it was several times already over lacquered.
This item is a wonderful addition to every modern home. The design is reminiscent with the designs of Josef Hoffmann etc.
