Mid century walnut and zebrano sideboard by Austinsuite, UK 1960

Sideboard of the English firm Austinsuite made of a combination of zebrano, walnut and teak wood. Mid Century design with symmetrical front built in three lanes. The top and the three upper drawers in zebrano veneer create a beautiful contrast with the walnut door fronts. The teak handles are subtly recessed between the drawer units and the lower storage spaces. The body is raised on tapered beech legs and the entire piece of furniture is also edged in this wood. It offers ample storage with two cupboards on each side divided by a shelf. In its central aisle, a hinged door hides the bar cabinet with a half-deep shelf to allow storage of bottles or taller utensils. Above its cabinets, three drawers, of which the one on the right is lined in brown felt with divisions for cutlery. It is in excellent condition after having been completely restored and finished with ecological wax-oils. It may have imperceptible scars and marks in keeping with its age. Reference : 254246
