Carlo Nason Murano glass table lamp made by Mazzega, 1970s
Table lamp by Carlo Nason for Mazzega, 1970s Beautiful cube-shaped table lamp by the Italian designer Carlo Nason for the company Mazzega Italy.
The lamp consists of a base plate including an E14 fitting and four Murano glass plates that are mounted in the beam.
Designer Carlo Nason.
Italian designer Carlo Nason was born into a family of expert glassmakers in 1935 in Murano, Venice. His father, Vincenzo Nason, ran the renowned glass company NasonMoretti and opened a second glass company in 1941 under the name Vincenzo Nason & C. From an early age, the younger Nason was trained in the art of glass blowing, learning both the properties of the material and the craft techniques used in molding and decorating glass.
