About this vintage design furniture

This Mid Century flower stands was produced in the 1960’s Czechoslovakia and it’s design is inspired by the Scandinavian aesthetics. The stand consists of three platforms of vertical ash slats at different heights. That, combined with four legs protruding vertically makes this piece look like an abstract sculpture of a dog, leading to the fond nickname ‘the dog’. The whole stand is made of ash wood with a distinct honey brown hue. The designer and producer of this stand are unknown but it is believed to be produced by ULUV in the late 1960’s. The flower stand is in perfect vintage condition without any damage. It has been recently refurbished to its former glory. Our experienced craftsmen have carried out the restoration to the highest standard, using French polishing technique and Nitro varnish to finish the entire piece. Reference : 285499
