Vintage Ergo 3 bay freestanding wall unit by John Texmon and Einar Blindheim for Blindheim Mobelfabrikk, Norway 1960

Truly Scandinavian mid century modern freestanding wall unit in teak is a 3-bay modular shelving system "Ergo" designed by John Texmon and Einar Blindheim for Blindheim Mobelfabrikk and made in Norway in the 1960s.( confirmed by the original stamp "Made in Norway" ). The slightly curved edges make a warm impression, and sculptural rails create an elegant and grand-looking statement. This shelving system includes: -a cabinet with four drawers and sliding doors H: 42 cm / W: 78,5 cm / D: 34 cm (drawers hight 7,5 cm) -a chest with three drawers H: 42 / W: 78,5 / D: 34 cm (drawers hight 10,5 cm ) -a cabinet with sliding doors H: 42 / W: 78,5 / D: 34 cm -2 cabinets with glass doors H: 42 / W: 78,5 / D: 23 cm -3 shelves 21 cm deep -1 shelf with flanks -1 display shelf for plates, or vinyls: H: 4,5 cm -four teak rail legs-supports 202 cm long -brass hardware The wall unit has been checked by our team. We have examined if all doors and drawers work properly. On many occasions, we have to sand down and refinish the most used parts (if they are scratched badly). Here we have only rejuvenated the wood with Danish Oil. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality.
