About this vintage design furniture

Frans Van Praet is a Belgian designer, artist and interior decorator who is still active today. His furniture designs are closely related to the spaces he decorates. He is specialized in (re)installations and renovations of private homes and commercial buildings. One of his most famous interior projects would be The Belgian Pavilion at the Sevilla World EXPO 1992. For this project he designed the Sevilla chair in collaboration with Val St Lambert, who are specialised in crystal glassworks. The chair was manufactured by Belgo Chrom in 1992 and is an iconic piece of Belgian furniture. Together with other designers from his generation, Van Praet reinvented the language of Belgian furniture design. Their postmodern style is being rediscovered today by young generations. This set of 8 chairs is made out of a silver colored metal frame with perforated texture. The seats are made in a soft black velvet. The chairs have gained a natural patina through the years and stand in a good, sturdy condition. Reference : 293832
