Restored ArtDeco floor lamp, designed by Jindrich Halabala. Designer: Jindrich Halabala Manufacturer: UP Zavody Material: Walnut, oak Origin: Czechoslovakia (Czechoslovakia) Czech (Czechoslovakia) Period: 1930-1939 Original parchment shade preserved. New lacquer and new electrification. Chrome-plated parts have been professionally cleaned and restored. Designed by Jindrich Halabala, a renowned designer who pioneered mass-produced furniture in his native Czechoslovakia. Manufactured by UP Zavody, a famous Czechoslovak furniture manufacturer and retailer based in Brno. This item features classic Art Deco elements. Art Deco is a style that originated in France in the early 20th century. Its furniture is meticulously crafted, usually from exotic woods. Pieces are usually lacquered to give them a dazzling sheen.
