About this vintage design furniture
Mid century folding sofa from the 1960´s. This furniture were designed by Karel Vyčítal and Miloš Sedláček for Dřevotvar Jablonné nad Orlicí in the former Czechoslovakia. Miloš Sedláček and Karel Vyčítal were leading Czechoslovak post-war architects who worked for the Czechoslovak firm Dřevotvar Jablonné nad Orlicí. Their work was obviously inspired by post-war Scandinavian design, which they not only drew inspiration from, but tried to modify it in various ways. This piece of furniture is made of high-quality beech wood and polished with shellac. It is in original but very well preserved condition. It shows signs of age and use quite appropriate for the time of its creation.
