About this vintage design furniture
Iconic mid-century original Margherita chair design by Franco Albini for Bonacina 1950s. Margherita is considered to be the first "legless" armchair of Italian Design. The piece pays homage to the poor and authentic tradition of popular craftsmanship, such as that of basket weavers. Albini uses a refined engineering device of tensile structure to create an aerial form of seating that is not based on the concept of a structure to be covered, but rather makes the covering itself become a structural system. The chair is made in malacca and rattan. It remains in excellent condition, cleaned and refinished no damage or missing parts, it has original macramé textile pillow. It is sturdy and comfortable, ready to furnish all your living spaces!
