About this vintage design furniture

A cult piece of furniture from the 50s, the Scandinavian-inspired wooden enfilade with compass legs. This designer enfilade was created by Roger Hilaire for Malora (Manufacture Lorraine d'Ameublement), renowned for the quality of its furniture. Manufactured in France, it carries the "French standard" label. It is in its original state, in very good condition and extremely well maintained. This magnificent 5-door enfilade with built-in shelves and drawers is mounted on compass legs. The interior surfaces are covered in red and green knitted fabric (a cult color in the fifties) to protect the various surfaces. Dimensions: Length 231 cm, depth 50.5 cm, height 90 cm. Malora was founded in 1921 in Tomblaine (Meurthe et Moselle). In 1949, Roger Hilaire bought 50% of the shares. He learned his trade as a cabinetmaker from his father, a collaborator of the prestigious Majorelle, a great name in Art Nouveau in Nancy. In 1953, the company became Malora. The company closes its doors in 2011 after numerous market adaptations, including office furniture and furniture for Paris hospitals... Reference : 298602
