Vintage bronze vase, 1950

Pretty vase from the 50s/60s It's hard to say whether this vase is made of bronze or brass. It's very well made, quite thick and heavy. The inlaid herbarium decoration is simple yet effective, giving this organically shaped vase another dimension. Despite the years, this vase has retained its place in our contemporary decor. Ideal for holding small bouquets, it will quickly find its place on an enfilade, side table or centerpiece. When I first found it, it was almost black from oxidation. After a good cleaning and some elbow grease, it regained its beautiful shine. Over time, it will take on a duller color, but with regular maintenance (about once a year), it will keep its beautiful gold color.
