About this vintage design furniture

The Pumpkin sofa by Pierre Paulin was created in 1971. It was designed for the private quarters of Claude and Georges Pompidou at the Palais de L'Elysée. Its design follows the guiding line taken by the French designer with its soft, organic curves. For this model, he drew inspiration from the pumpkin, using its shape to create a warm, protective seat. This model is still produced by Ligne Roset, which offers several variations of it (chaise longue, 3-seater sofa or pouf). Its structure is composed of a foam-on-foam assembly, with the base and belt in polyether foam and the seat and back in molded polyurethane foam reinforced by a sheet of the same foam. A fabric or leather cover is then laid over the surface. Post 2000 edition. In very good condition, entirely reupholstered in our workshop. Reference : 302492
