Vintage solid hardwood dining set, France 1950

Vintage Midcentury Chalet style round dining table with four matching benches. Made in France, 1950's / 60's period. Hand crafted in solid hardwood (Elm or Ash) with trestle bases and forged iron hardware on table and benches. Typical of the rustic french mountain style made for French Alps estates in the mid-century. The set is constructed out of solid stained ash or elm wood with nice warm tones with visible metal hardware. Every single element is carved by hand, this causes a very nice artisan character. The set has been refinished and comes in very good condition. The table measures 75cm x 119cm x 119cm. Each bench measures 45cm x 131cm x 48cm. Sold as a set of 5. Table and 4 benches.
