Pair of vintage armchairs DS-76/107 for De Sede, Switzerland 1970

Two armchairs by de sede, Swiss 70s. The special feature of this sofa is that it can be transformed into a sofa bed, ideal for inviting friends over. The chairs can easily be transformed into a comfortable extra bed, example see last photo. Very good overall condition, sound and clean. Traces of use on the leather, light scratches, see photos. 90 X 70 X 99 cm. The de sede ds-76 caused a sensation in the international furniture world in 1972. What was particularly impressive was a surprisingly simple and ingenious mechanism: the sofa could be transformed into an occasional bed in a few simple steps - without any mechanical support...the new edition of the popular classic sofa-bed also adheres to this concept. But the furniture also scores points in terms of appearance. What catches the eye is the extravagant formation of wrinkles, caused by the deliberately lower tension of the upholstery leather.
