About this vintage design furniture

Danish mid-century daybed in teak made most likely by Horsens Møbelfabrik in the 1960s. It expresses the essence of mid-century design - proper proportions and functionality. Its advantage is a removable backrest, which gives you the opportunity to match the design to the interior, and a hidden storage compartment for blankets, sheets, and pillows in the backrest. The wood frame is in solid wood, stained to teak color (often found in Horsens daybeds), and the upholstery is in new black leather. It reminds closely Hans Wegner or Orla Molgaard projects from the same period. The daybed is in fantastic condition after a full renovation. It shows excellent craftsmanship in suitably selected teak wood matching in all parts and brass armrests and feet. The mattress rests on horizontal springs across the bed frame. The wood has been treated with Danish oil layers, and all the springs have been checked.
