Vintage stained glass window on the theme of the dance of death, Switzerland

Late 18th-early 19th century stained glass window on the theme of the danse macabre Swiss stained glass depicting a danse macabre scene that is both intriguing and fascinating. The Danse macabre is a milestone in the representation of Death and a popular artistic motif both present in European folklore and elaborated in the late Middle Ages. In addition to its religious aspect, this stained glass window is a beautiful decorative or collector's piece. It really comes into its own when exposed to light. So it's a good idea to place them near a window or lamp. Dimensions: Height 28cm Width 19cm Depth 1cm The stained glass is quite well preserved. The frame appears to have been restored. There are color differences in the metal used to join the pieces of glass. Look closely at the photos to note these small flaws, which remain very discreet in situ.
