Rocking chair “Nonna”, Paul Tuttle for Strässle International, 70’s – Switzerland "Nonna" rocking chair, designed by Paul Tuttle in 1972 for Strässle International, Switzerland. The materials used in this chair are an attractive combination of tubular chrome, ebonized bentwood, beige canvas and Swiss cowhide. The seat and backrest are made of thick canvas that is fixed to the frame with a large buckle and a strap to which cowhide is sewn. The chrome is shiny with no pitting and the black ebonized bentwood frame is chip-free. The thick leather upholstery is soft, worn and free of rips or tears. For all these reasons, the Nonna armchair is the modern interpretation of a rocking chair, of very high quality.
