Vintage coat rack with 3 brass hooks, 1950
United Kingdom

About this vintage design furniture
A highly unusual set of three brass coat hangers dating from the 1950s, reclaimed from a Gentleman’s Clubhouse. The lower hook is a broad arm so is perfect for more delicate shaped jackets thus causing minimal stress to your coats or Bowler hat! The coat hooks are beautifully sculpted from squared tubular framed brass, which gives them a very Modernist look, the shaped hooks having an almost nautical anchor shape that are incredibly tactile. Each hanger is made from solid brass and is mounted to a brass back plate with four screws.
Although the hangers are mounted on a wood slat with holes either end for wall mounting, they can easily be removed and fixed directly to a wall. Preserved in original condition with minimal signs of wear and such lovely patina.
Measurements: 70cm W x 21cm H x 10cm D. Each brass hanger when taken off the backboard measures: 21cm H x 6cm W x 8cm D
