About this vintage design furniture
This set of two armchairs was designed by Jan Vanek in the 1930s. The hemp straps have been renewed and the wooden parts have been relacquered. The cushions have a core of pressed coconut fibers. The chairs have been upholstered with an English velvet from Colefax and Fowler.

About the designer
Jan VANEK
Jan Vanek was a Czech industrial designer born in Prague in 1940 and died in 2011. He studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, graduating in 1964.
